We Fitzgerald's spent the New Years together at my moms and dads house. We were planning on just staying home, but the pizza and party hats my mom tempted us with were just too much for us! The kids were happy because my sister and her family decided to join us there as well. I was a little worried about making it all the way to midnight this year, but I realized that my kids were well past the age of tricking them into a midnight countdown. lol. I was quite the trouper although I mainly stayed put in my daddies chair which he so kindly offered to me upon arrival. Mom also made her famous bean dip, and had all the left over goodies and treats from Christmas still, so we were well fed! We all made it to the countdown, and everyone was able to toast to the new year and to our up-and-coming twin girls. It was really great, and I'm glad I made the effort to be with my family this year. Next year both my step-kids will be with their moms, and Kevin and I will have 2 ten month olds to contend with! I can hardly believe how drastic our lives are about to change, but I am excited! Here are some pics of our eventful night!
