My babies heartbeat, and random pics!

So Tuesday was my 12 week appointment, and I got to listen to my babies heartbeat with the Doppler! I was so nervous because it had been a while since we had checked in on our little one. I was relieved that my OB was able to locate the heartbeat right away. Everything sounded healthy and good. The heart rate was 165. So I officially only have one week left in the first trimester, and I am SO glad to be through the most dangerous portion of the pregnancy. My OB says that chances of a miscarriage at this point have reduced to under 5%! Woohoo! Kevin had to work this appointment, so he missed out on the Doppler this time, but Autumn was with me so she got to hear the heartbeat too. It was really cool to be able to share that with her. After the appointment she gave me a hug and said "See Heather? I TOLD you everything would be alright!" lol. She is so sweet, and no doubt going to be a BIG help when baby arrives.

Okay, since I don't have any pics to add for this appointment I am going to post some random pics to "catch up" my blog instead of adding like 3 new posts in one day.

And more birthday pics.... I had to add these pics too because they are just so funny. We already had a X-BOX360 pro, which has served our family well since it's purchase. The problem was having enough time in the day for all of us to get to play it. Soooo, Kevin and Takoda asked for a combined birthday present this year for a X-BOX360 Elite. (Takoda's birthday blog coming soon...) After a HUGE gift card contribution from my momma (Thanks mom!) the boys' dream was finally able to come true and our new X-BOX baby was born! Here are the pics!

AND, we finally got our stimulus check. ::sigh of relief:: You all know what that means....

WE GOT OUR TV!!!!! Yay for us. Seriously, we are NOT the type of family to live with a teeny TV. Although I am quite proud of Kevin and I that we were able to hold out until we could buy it with cash. (Note that we DID serve our economy by buying an AMERICAN MADE TV. Go Vizio!)

Alright family and friends, I want you all to look at the lonely space under our TV right now. It looks like a electronics nightmare, and definitely more "bachelor pad" then I'd like BUT I can't find a TV stand under $200 that I actually LIKE. (No sharp glass edges for when my little bean arrives). I am hoping to find something wood maybe painted black. I don't know. If any of you have ideas or a TV stand your ready to part with, let me know! (Still have no idea where to store our Rock Band drums.) ::sigh::

Here is the whole wall so you can get the big picture of how badly we need a TV stand. Plus on the very right is the TV we were using that is now going to be used as a second gaming station for the family. (Yes, we're that sick lol). I am not sure how we are going to arrange all this in our little living room, but when there's a will there's a way! lol. Once we get it figured out, I will post updated pics. :)

So that's it for now. School is starting next week, and Autumn's swimming lessons end tomorrow, so I will probably have another post coming soon. Hope everyone one is well and happy! Say a prayer for our little Autumn that her first day at a new school (3rd grade) goes well! She is nervous and excited at the same time! That post is soon to come!!

10 weeks!

Yay! I hit 10 weeks yesterday! Only one week and two days until my next OB apt. I am so nervous! I just want out of this first trimester. I am so close!! I have been feeling much better lately. I only get nauseous when I am in the car, and even then if I'm driving I'm usually okay. Here are some pics of around where our little bean is developmentally right now! I can't believe my baby can already move around like that! Sooo exciting!!

Happy Birthday Kevin!

Kevin turned a whopping 32 years old on Monday! I was feeling bad because he had already bought himself a great birthday present (this happens often), and I didn't know what else to do for him. He bought himself a new engine for his nitro rc truck. (For those of you that don't know Kev, he is VERY much into this truck.) Here it is in all it's glory. lol.

So Monday morning he left for work, and Autumn and I sat around wondering what we should do for him. We didn't have a lot of cash because Takoda's birthday is right around the corner and we had to special order his present early. Soooo as we are sitting around, I get a craving for some fruit. Kevin and Autumn had picked some blackberries the other day, and I was really dissapointed when I got to the fridge and saw that they were all gone. Then it suddenly hit me..... Kevin the other day had said "Man, these are good blackberries, you should make a pie!" Of course he probably wasn't serious at the time, but given my craving and the challenge.... I was like "That's it!" lol. So Autumn and I went to go pick some blackberries.

We didn't get messy because there were spiders and bee's everywhere. lol. We must have looked pretty silly stading a mile away from the bushes and streching toward them like they had plague or something. lol. Anyways it was a labor of LOVE! Because of the scary bugs we were forced to only pick exactly what we needed for our pie. :)

I was housesitting for my mom and dad because they were on vacation so we took the berries back to their house and made the pie there. I always make my pies from scratch, but it had been over a year since I had made one, and this was definitely the first time we had actually picked the berries. :) Autumn and I made it together, and it turned out just fine. I had a few breaks in the lattace work, but all in all not bad for being rusty. My next one will be better. :)

Kevin went straight to our place after work, so Autumn and I carefully transported our pie all the way home (while it was still hot even.) When we walked in the door with his pie he was so happy and surprised. I think he was pretty impressed we actually picked the berries too! It was basically a free pie because I used my mom's flour/sugar/lemons/shortning. (Thanks mom!) So we had a quick dinner and were really excited to dig in to our hard work! I stopped at Fredy's and bought ice cream and candles and we were ready to roll. :)

We enjoyed every minute of it! LOL. I saved a peice to bring back to my sister Jenni because she had been home all day at my mom's while I baked it, and the whole house smelled so good I felt guilty not letting her have some! :) It was tres bien!!! Happy Birthday to my wonderful Hubby!

Maternity Clothes...Stop laughing, I'm serious.

I guess this isn't a big surprise. I just made it to 9 weeks yesterday, and I swear overnight none of my jeans seem to be comfortable. ::sigh:: They all fit but roll and bunch up under my belly where all my aches and pains have recently been located. I had been using a rubber band to fasten my jeans, but found it annoying looking under my too tight shirts. Thus making me horribly uncomfortable in all my clothes. I have officially entered a really "awkward" looking stage. So, for all my friends who started off their pregnancies skinny... (Okay, that's all of you...lol) Let me be the first to assure you that I realize 9 weeks is early for maternity clothes. The problem is that I look like I'm at least 16 weeks with my chubby belly. lol. Seriously I do. Although I'll spare you all the pics. lol. So I decided to just give in and get some cute maternity clothes. I was pleasantly surprised to find most are slimming and belly hiding. I am WAY more comfortable and I think I look better too. If I could describe my pre-maternity wardrobe lately I would have to say I looked like the Michelin man in a leotard. :)

Oh yeah baby. LOL. Okay, silliness aside. I did some real bargain shopping at Kohls. I ended up with $200.00 WORTH of clothes for only $94 bucks. YAY! I love getting good deals!! So I suppose I will show you all my FABULOUS finds. Enjoy!



The pair on the top are capri's and the pair on the bottom are normal length jeans. They were buy one get one FREE! Yippee!! I saved $44.00 just in that purchase alone.

The jeans have the "secret fit" belly, which I ADORE! No more pelvic pains!

These shirts were buy one get one free too! I saved $28.00!!

This is a jersey cotton dress. SOOO cozy for around the house. It was originally $40, and I got it 80% off for $8.00!! Woohoo!

So I am done trying to squeeze this body into my old clothes. Who cares if I'm only 9 weeks.... If anyone asks.....I'm due in December okay? :P Maybe I should figure out how many weeks I'd be at that point.... lol.

Swim Lessons

Well I have made it through the first two day of swim lessons. I actually faired better then I thought I would. I haven't been as sick as I was on Sunday, so I feel pretty lucky. Autumn is such a good little swimmer. I am so proud of her. She learned a new back stroke today which was pretty impressive. She is cracking me up because she has this natural competitive nature that I NEVER had. (My friends know this of me....) She always has to be the BEST. lol. She must get that from her mom because Kevin and I could care less about being competitive. Her mom was good at sports too so I assume she got it from her mommy. :) Anyways, right at the beginning of lessons each day all the kids work on holding their breath to see how long they can hold it. This is true of last year as well, but Autumn (who wears goggles) insists on holding hers the longest. It doesn't matter if she holds her breath for 10 seconds or 30 she is ALWAYS the last head to pop out of the water. I just KNOW she is watching the other kids under there going.. "I can hold my breath longer then you!" lol. It is so awesome to watch your child be confident and succeed at something. It has really been a lot of fun so far, and I'm hoping we can enroll her in level 3 back to back with this level before summer is over. Anyways...enough of my chit-chat here are some pics and a few (very crappy) videos of today taken with my digital camera.

Nausea = very crummy Sunday...

So I am marking today as my first full day of nausea. I am not calling it morning sickness because here it is 3 in the afternoon, and I still feel awful! Yesterday I about hit the floor I was so tired, and again today I have had the same fatigue mixed with nausea. I just want to curl up on the couch and sleep. I took two naps yesterday, and I'm about to go cozy up with my kitties right now. Autumn starts her first day of level 2 swimming lessons tomorrow, and the pool is indoors. I am freaking out about breathing in all the swimming pool fumes. Do you think it is horrible for our little bean? The lesson is only a 1/2 hour long.... I am sure just sitting there is going to make me want to hurl. ::sigh:: This baby making business is serious stuff!! On a positive note: I am pretty sure all this nausea is a good sign that my hormones are doing what they should, and our sweet little bean is growing away!!!! Eight Weeks

Now that I am actually prego... :) I had to change my siggie on the forum I belong to. Check it out! I wanted it to be St. Patty's day themed for two reasons: One, we are due right by St. Patty's day. Two, we love our Irish heritage. :) Check out Kev's "Feelin Lucky" Tat! I don't make my own siggies since I don't have the program, so I have to give thanks to Jaidynsmum for her work. It's a lot of lettering, but I was overall happy with how it turned out! It even has the ultrasound pic of our little bean!
